We sat down with CEO Byungmin Cheon, who has successfully grown KSYS Group into one of Korea's leading display companies, driven by innovative technology and strong customer trust.
What led you to enter the display business?
Since its founding in 2004, KSYS has provided tailored IT infrastructure services, including network consulting, design, and implementation.
Our entry into the display business began when customers requested video equipment, and we started supplying custom signage using panels from Samsung and LG.
That marked the beginning of our dedicated journey into display design and installation.
Later, we launched our premium kiosk brand “KIOSCO” and became a key supplier of LCD kiosks.
Responding to a shift in the paradigm of indoor and outdoor large-format displays, KSYS Group fully committed to the LED signage business with the goal of becoming Korea’s next-generation display leader.
What does KSYS stand for?
When we started the business, we believed that offering competitive solutions while staying in close communication with customers would define our path.
KSYS was formed from ‘I’ for Information and ‘C’ for Communication, representing convergence through IT, symbolizing our identity as a company that connects and integrates through communication.
What is the key to KSYS's nationwide success in display?
First, continuous R&D without settling for the present.
When we entered the LED signage business, we started with products featuring 10mm pixel pitch.
Through relentless effort by our internal R&D team and extensive investment, we developed fine-pitch 1mm displays and launched our premium brand “LEDot” to deliver high-quality display experiences to customers.
Second, innovation through the convergence of hardware and software.
Traditional LED displays had several limitations, such as being non-editable after production and prone to damage from external factors like rain and wind.
We addressed these by standardizing our products, obtaining KC certification for safety and durability, and developing proprietary controllers that allow real-time content updates and management—providing true software-hardware integration.
Third, thinking from the customer’s perspective.
We believe our success stems from prioritizing the customer’s experience at every stage—from product development to sales.
Customers told us that changing content was their biggest challenge, so we made it possible to update content in real-time using USB or Wi-Fi without accessing the signage directly.
We aim to go beyond product competitiveness and become a brand that communicates sincerely with customers.
What do you consider most important in running a company?
People and trust—without question.
Whether managing the company or selling products, everything starts and ends with people.
That’s why it’s vital to cultivate internal talent and offer excellent service that builds long-term trust with our customers.

What’s your outlook on the current display industry and KSYS’s growth potential?
While regulations on outdoor advertising still pose some limitations, the rise of platforms like YouTube is shifting demand from text to video content, increasing the need for high-quality displays.
KSYS is focusing on developing premium display solutions that meet these evolving needs, and we expect continued, significant growth in the domestic market.
How do you see the future of Korea’s display market?
There are about 3,000 LED signage manufacturers in China, and many domestic companies import uncertified products from them.
These products lack safety guarantees, and small vendors often can't provide proper after-sales service.
As a result, Korean consumers are turning toward high-end displays that offer image quality, ease of maintenance, and reliability.
KSYS is addressing this need by securing KC certification, investing in a dedicated R&D team, and operating a professional support center to provide reliable service.
Can you introduce the LEDot CUBE Series?
The LEDot CUBE Series is a premium LED signage solution that showcases KSYS’s technological strength with brilliant color expression, high contrast, easy installation, and fast, convenient maintenance.
It features gamma correction and HDR playback for precision content rendering, with redundant power/signal design and automatic error detection for exceptional stability and durability.
The LEDot brand reflects Korean consumer demand and is set to lead the high-end LED signage market.
