Digital signage group KSYS Co., Ltd. (CEO Byungmin Chun) announced that its LED display has been designated as an “Innovative Product.” KSYS is the first company in Korea to have an LED display (information display) selected by the Public Procurement Service as an innovative product.

“Innovative Procurement” by the Public Procurement Service is a new procurement model that supports technological innovation and innovation-driven growth by purchasing innovative products and technologies in advance to meet public innovation demand, and to enhance public service quality. “Innovative Products” are items officially designated through a review process by the Public Procurement Policy Deliberation Committee of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, recognized for their public value and innovation. KSYS has been designated with 18 types of indoor and outdoor LED displays as innovative products.

Once designated as an innovative product, companies receive support through the “Innovative Product Pilot Purchase” program based on the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Contracts to Which the State is a Party. The designated product is listed on the “Innovation Marketplace,” allowing for private contracts. A key advantage includes buyer immunity — if any loss occurs from the purchase, the purchasing officer is not held accountable unless there is proven intent or gross negligence.
