Since its establishment in 2004, K-Sys (CEO Cheon Byung-min) has served as a leader in the LED display procurement market through 21 years of relentless research and development, firmly establishing itself as a manufacturer of LED display panels. The company recently finalized its relocation to a new headquarters, completing construction of The K Tower—a six-story building—and a dedicated logistics warehouse. Here, it has established an innovative business environment that integrates manufacturing, logistics, a showroom, offices, and R&D facilities. Additionally, the company has built an infrastructure capable of providing nationwide integrated solutions through branch offices in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gwangju, and Jeju, in addition to its Busan headquarters.

K-Sys’s flagship product is the “high-efficiency LED display with standby power reduction technology,” developed using its proprietary technology. It was designated as an innovative product in the Public Information Display category by the Public Procurement Service—a first in Korea—and, building on this achievement, secured the top spot in both the number of contracts and deliveries for indoor LED displays with the Public Procurement Service in 2022 and 2023. In recognition of its contributions to the development of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry and the supply of high-quality products, K-Sys was selected as an Outstanding Procurement Vendor last February and received a commendation from the Commissioner of the Public Procurement Service.

The core technology behind K-Sys’s “High-Efficiency LED Display with Standby Power Reduction” is the “Integrated Hub Board.” The “Integrated Hub Board,” installed inside the LED display, features power and video signal patterns designed directly onto the PCB. This allows for data transmission and power control using only the hub board, eliminating the need for complex cable connections typical of conventional displays. This hub board incorporates proprietary power-saving technology. When the LED display is not showing any video (blackout), it detects the presence or absence of video signals and controls them, thereby reducing standby power consumption during periods of inactivity. This standby power reduction technology is an eco-friendly solution designed to achieve carbon neutrality, offering an average reduction of 72% compared to existing products. The company stated that this helps public institutions cut unnecessary costs and serves as a positive factor in energy-saving policies. The ‘High-Efficiency LED Display with Standby Power Reduction’ adopts a ‘front-opening slot type’ design. This design allows for easy and convenient removal and installation of LED modules from the front, offering the advantage of quick installation and rapid maintenance. In addition, K-Sys holds over 130 awards, certifications, and patents, including performance certification, GS Certification Grade 1, Green Certification, Environmental Label Certification, and certification as a leading company in industrial convergence innovation. With certification for in-house production of display equipment, K-Sys is emerging as a “specialized LED display company” capable of handling everything from direct production and design/construction to maintenance. Additionally, as the official Korean distributor for global controller manufacturer Novastar, the company provides “integrated LED display solution services” that meet global standards to the domestic market.

Following its recent development of standby power reduction technology, K-Sys is currently focusing its R&D efforts on eco-friendly ESG management through the development of an optical lens that can be attached to the front of displays to reduce power consumption. The company expects that the convergence of these two technologies will enable an average reduction of 72% in standby power and over 30% in power consumption, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of its eco-friendly products. Furthermore, regarding its power consumption reduction technology, the company is preparing for another leap forward by aiming to enter the public procurement market through certification testing, performance certification, and the Public Procurement Service’s “Innovative Product” and “Excellent Product” certifications. This follows the registration of a patent for optical characteristics and manufacturing process technology titled “Reflective Array Unit Installed in the LED Array of an LED Display to Realize an Asymmetric Tilting Light Distribution Area.” A company representative stated, “As a leader in LED displays, K-Sys is built on the advancement of superior LED display technologies and trust with customers in the public procurement market,” adding, “We will establish ourselves as an innovative company in the public procurement of LED displays that contributes to the development of South Korea’s industrial technology.”
