LEDot, the premium brand of display specialist K-Sys Co., Ltd. (CEO Cheon Byung-min), has launched a new product, the “Environmental Information LED Display.”
The LEDot Environmental Information LED Display is an outdoor LED display that shows real-time environmental data—including temperature, humidity, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and fine dust—allowing users to visually check air quality conditions. As fine dust has recently emerged as a major social issue, these LED displays are being actively utilized in key activity areas for vulnerable groups, such as children and the elderly.
This product displays accurate weather information for the installation site using real-time air quality data provided by Air Korea and external sensors. For fine dust levels, blue indicates Good (0–15 μg/m³), green indicates Moderate (16–35 μg/m³), yellow indicates poor (36–75 μg/m³), and red indicates very poor (76 μg/m³ and above). The display uses a four-tier system, and familiar character icons have been incorporated to help children better understand fine dust levels.
The product’s greatest strengths are its optimal visibility and waterproofing. With a screen brightness of 5,500 nits and high clarity, it can clearly convey information even from a distance, and its high-quality waterproof modules ensure near-perfect water resistance for outdoor use. It is also an excellent product that allows content transmission and LED display control via Wi-Fi.
Meanwhile, Redot has developed and is supplying “banner-type LED display boards” alongside its environmental information LED display boards. Unlike traditional printed banners, the banner-type LED display board is a full-color video display that allows content to be updated at any time via mobile devices using USB and Wi-Fi.
Chun Byung-min, CEO of K-Sys, stated, “The key feature of the environmental information and banner-type LED display is its ability to provide real-time air quality information alongside various announcements,” adding, “We expect these displays to be put to good use at government offices and schools nationwide in the future.”
