These are products recognized for their public interest and innovation
to improve public service and promote technological advancement.
They are designated through a review process by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

With support from the PPS Commissioner, the government is expanding mandatory purchases of innovative products.

Purchaser Exemption Privilege
If the purchaser is not found to have acted intentionally or with gross negligence,
they are exempt from liability for losses caused by purchasing the innovative product.

Purchase Methods & Related Regulations
Innovative products can be purchased directly via the Innovation Market operated by PPS, or through negotiated contracts with no price limitation.
If the purchase exceeds KRW 50 million, centralized contracts are possible.
If below, self-negotiated contracts can be made by the purchasing entity.
